Reappraising the Residual

Posted by emilychildress329 on February 20, 2017

The most interesting thing that I read was in the section “The Hybrid Audiences of YouTube”. I never really thought about how if we are giving someone something personally, once we give it up it is gone. If we give someone something that is over social media we can have many copies that go around. For example when we right a paper and send it into Blackboard we still have the hard copy and any other copy we decide to make.

I think that the more we send out documents the faster the need for this media is escalating. Now that media is used so much and the need for it is in such high demand we are known to spread certain gifts through social media not through person to person. This is always a way to tell that we spend way to much time on the internet interacting through that instead of interacting through people.

I also wrote about the section on YouTube. I think it is interesting how when we post something online, like these blog posts, it will stay forever and leave a lasting impact.
